Int’l Leathergoods Show 2018 from Nov 22

Dhaka: The second edition of Bangladesh Leatherfootwear and Leathergoods International Sourcing Show (BLLISS) 2018 has been arranged.

The exhibition will kick off at 11.00am at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city on November 22 and will be held till November 24.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the show on November 22 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, in the city.

The event is being organised by the Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.

Shubhashish Bose, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, announced this on November 17 at a press conference at The Westin Dhaka in Gulshan.

The show is being held under the thematic tagline: “Bangladesh: Destination Next'. The key objective of BLLISS 2018 is to brand and position Bangladesh in the Global Supply Chain Map as the next destination for high value-added leather products.

LFMEAB had initiated first edition of Bangladesh Leather Footwear and Leather Goods International Sourcing Show-BLLISS in 2017, with thematic tagline: “Think Ahead, Think Bangladesh.”

The press conference was chaired by Md. Saiful Islam, President, LFMEAB and the guest speakers were; Mr. Yu, Cheng Hsing (Sam), Managing Director, Blue Ocean Footwear Ltd. and Mr. Sandeep Das, Country Managing Director, Intertek Bangladesh.
