Bangladesh extends strict lockdown till August 10

Dhaka: The government of Bangladesh has announced to extend the ongoing countrywide lockdown till August 10.

The move follows the government’s efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country as new daily cases are soaring.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque revealed the information after an inter-ministerial meeting at the Secretariat in the capital on August 3.

Shops and shopping malls will be allowed to reopen from August 11, the minister added.
