Dhaka: Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has launched a rooftop restaurant at Parjatan Bhaban, it is head office in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. An inauguration ceremony was held in this regard on January 3 at the premises.

“BPC is a brand name in customer services and there is no alternative to achieving customer satisfaction by increasing the quality of service in order to survive in today’s competition,” said M Mahbub Ali, State Minister, Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration function.

He mentioned Bangladesh Tourism Board and BPC have taken various initiatives for the development of the country’s tourism sector under the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

The state minister said with the implementation of all these initiatives, Bangladesh will become one of the most popular tourist destinations across the globe in the days to come.

He urged the industry will play a vital role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030. “We will achieve the targets in the tourism industry within the stipulated time with the aim of attaining SDG through the coordination of all public and private tourism partners,” Mahbub Ali continued.

Md Mohibul Haque, Senior Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, and Jabed Ahmed, Chief Executive of Bangladesh Tourism Board attended the function as special guests with Ram Chandra Das, Chairman of BPC in the chair.
