Dhaka: As part of the ‘MujibBorsho’ celebration, Bangladesh Army will organize an international mega event ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2021’ on January 10, 2021.

The grand event will feature a full marathon participated by a total of 100 professional runners and around 40 of them will be an elite runner from the international mainstream. Besides, a Digital Marathon there will also be a half marathon attended by a total of 100 Bangladeshi runners.

Meanwhile, Eastern Bank Ltd.(EBL) a leading private sector bank of the country has joined the event as the Platinum Sponsor.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL handed over the sponsorship cheque to Md. Main Uddin, NDC, psc, G, Chairman of Army Sports Control Board (ASCB) yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion Iftekhar said, “We are proud to be associated with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2021. This mega event will be a tribute to our father of the nation, who was a great sports enthusiast himself. This event will have a long-lasting impact on the development of our sports.”
