Dhaka: The largest private carrier of the country US-Bangla Airlines announced to resume domestic flights from August 6 maintaining all health guidelines.
US-Bangla will fly on all domestic routes from Dhaka such as Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Saidpur, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal and Rajshahi, announced the airline in a statement on August 5.
The government has extended the ongoing nationwide strict lockdown till August 10. However, it exempted domestic flights and factories from the new lockdown restrictions.
On domestic routes, US-Bangla will operate 72-seater brand new ATR 72-600.
At present, US-Bangla has a total of 14 aircraft in its fleet including four Boeing 737-800s, seven brand new ATR 72-600s.
Besides domestic flights, the airline also operates flights on international routes: Kolkata, Chennai, Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Guangzhou.
