EBL partners with SS Foundation to support children's healthcare

Dhaka : Eastern Bank PLC has partnered with the Shishu Sasthya Foundation, Bangladesh to support its initiative to strengthening services for pediatric inpatients from the underprivileged and marginalized families.

Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director of EBL, handed over a cheque of BDT 61 lac to Engineer Reza Karim, Secretary General, Shishu Sasthya Foundation, Bangladesh at a ceremony held at EBL's head office in Dhaka on March 25, 2025.

The money will be spent on upgrading pediatric inpatient services, including the renovation of two wards, installation of modern medical equipment, enhanced nursing stations, and oxygen systems. With these improvements, the hospital will be equipped to serve approximately 2,400 children annually, providing critical medical care to those in need.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr AKM Shamsuzza-man, Joint Secretary General, from Shishu Sasthya Foundation; and Md Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Company Secretary, from Eastern Bank PLC, among other high officials from both organizations.
