MTB Foundation inaugurates 'Eyesight Restoration Camps' at Mithapukur

Dhaka : As part of its commitment towards the healthcare sector of the country, MTB Foundation, in partnership with Quasem Foundation, inaugurated a project titled 'Eyesight Restoration Camps' at Emadpur Union, Mithapukur Upazila, Rangpur District.

The program was inaugurated by Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation. Md Akhtarul Karim, Branch Operations Manager from MTB Rangpur Branch; and Golam Rabbani, Associate, MTB Foundation, were also present on the occasion.

A large number of underserved people were provided with basic healthcare facilities including eye screening, medicine supply, distribution of spectacles, and conducting surgeries like cataract, pterygium, Dacryocystorhi-nostomy (DCR), and Dua-clutch Transmission (DCT).

Constructive sessions on awareness building regarding primary eye care were also held at the eye camp. More eye camps are scheduled to be held at other regions of Rangpur Division this year.
