Dhaka: India’s flag carrier Air India has not suspended its flights to and from Dhaka, contrary to recent speculation circulating in the industry.

The airline has, however, reduced its flight frequency on the Dhaka–Delhi route from daily operations to four weekly.

Sources said, the decision reflects a schedule adjustment and should not be interpreted as a suspension of services from Bangladesh. Air India continues to operate the route and has not announced any complete withdrawal from Dhaka operations.

The clarification follows reports and online discussions that incorrectly claimed the airline had stopped flights to and from Dhaka, leading to confusion among passengers and travel agencies.

Aviation analysts said, airlines routinely adjust frequencies based on passenger demand, operational planning, and fleet management considerations. Although the revised schedule reduces travel flexibility, connectivity between Dhaka and Delhi remains in place.

Passengers are advised to verify updated schedules and booking availability through Air India’s official website or through authorized travel agents before finalizing travel arrangements.
