Rahman’s Chambers marks 19th anniversary with focus on Aviation Law and Infrastructure Excellence

Dhaka: Rahman’s Chambers, a renowned legal professional firm of the country  celebrated its 19th Anniversary Annual Dinner with a high-level gathering of legal, aviation and corporate leaders, featuring in-depth discussions on aviation finance, disputes, arbitration and investment. The event highlighted Bangladesh’s evolving aviation and infrastructure landscape amid growing regional and global engagement .

Keynote sessions included presentations by  Hasan Al Arafat on aviation finance and leasing law, emphasizing the need to fully harmonize domestic regulations with international conventions to attract global capital, and  Mohammed Forrukh Rahman, Head of Chambers, who outlined practical legal remedies for aviation disputes, including arbitration, asset protection and corporate enforcement mechanisms .

International perspectives were provided by  Hajime Akamatsu of Nishimura & Asahi, Japan, who spoke on Japanese airport concession contracts, and  Ganesh Chandru, Partner at Dua Associates, who addressed arbitration trends in the aviation sector. Special Guest Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of NovoAir Ltd., spoke on investment opportunities in Bangladesh’s aviation industry, while Guest of Honour Mr. Kazi Wahidul Alam, Founder Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor and Managing Director of Airspan Ltd., gave an overview of the aviation industry in Bangladesh,highlighting various drawbacks and  the sector’s long-term development prospects .

The evening also featured the presentation of “Rahman’s Chambers Award 2025” across multiple categories, recognizing Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited, PepsiCo Bangladesh Private Limited, and Penta Ocean Construction Co. Ltd. for excellence in infrastructure modernization, tax integrity, and occupational health and safety management respectively. Individual and team performances within Rahman’s Chambers were also recognized during the ceremony.
