Thailand Tourism Authority (TAT) organized a Destination Presentation and Agent Networking Event at Amari Dhaka on March 17.

A detailed presentation was done by Vachirachi Sirisampan, Director, India & Bangladesh of TAT and explained the new policy for the visitors, entering into Thailand and the opening up of the borders to welcome tourists from Bangladesh.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh Ms. Makawadee Sumitmor lamented that Bangladesh is the second largest source market for visitor from South Asia and they expect, with the situation becoming normal, Bangladeshi visitors will visit Thailand in large numbers.

In the Q&A session, the agents raised different questions based on their pre-COVID experience and requested to ease the visa policy so that they can promote Thailand again and the number should exceed the previous record.
