Bangladesh HC in Islamabad opens Bangabandhu corner

Dhaka: Bangladesh High Commission in the Pakistani capital Islamabad opened a 'Bangabandhu Corner' at the premise. Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen inaugurated the corner on December 19.

The Bangabandhu corner has been adorned with timeless inscriptions, photographs, books and publications on the Father of the Nation of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The foreign Secretary inaugurated the Bangabandhu corner while he was leading a five-member delegation to the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers currently being held in the Pakistan capital.

High Commissioner Md Ruhul Alam Siddique presented the foreign secretary and other members of the delegation with copies of English and Urdu versions of the "Unfinished Memoirs" of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, published in Pakistan respectively in 2012 and 2013.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC, Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary, and the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan were also present.

Director General Wahida Ahmed, Director Md Sakil Sahrior of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, officers and officials of the Bangladesh High Commission attended the inauguration ceremony.
