Bashundhara Group MD distributes food, brings smile to orphans

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir reached out to over one lakh of orphaned and disadvantaged children across the country with foods on the occasion of his birthday on Tuesday (Jan 31).

Born on January 31, 1981, he obtained higher education from reputed institutions in England and took over as Managing Director of the largest corporate body at the age of 20.

Apart from flourishing Bashundhara Group with innovative ideas and novel products, he has been working for welfare of the destitute and helpless people.

He sent foods for the orphans and madrasah students in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna and other parts of the country.

Nearly 65,000 distressed children in Dhaka and adjoining areas were given delicious foods cooked at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

In the port city Chattogram, over 20,000 madrasa students and orphans were distributed high-quality foods.

The places include Jamia Ahmadia Sunnia Alia Madrasa, Jamia Mahila Madrasa, Al Amin Baria Kamil Madrasa, Jamia Madania, Misbahul Ulum Madrasa, Sobhania Alia Kamil Madrasa, Wajedia Madrasa, Marqazut Dawah Talimul Quran Madrasa, Dampara Madrasa and Ashekane Awlia Fazil Madrasa, among others.

The madrasa students at that time offered special doa for the good health, long-life and prosperity of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, his family members, the country and the nation.
Foods were also distributed among homeless and distressed people in different areas, including Chattogram Railway Station and the shrines of Hazrat Amanat Shah (R), Hazrat Garibullah Shah (R), Hazrat Miskin Shah (R) and Hazrat Badna Shah (R).

Meanwhile, 15,000 orphaned children and madrasah students received foods at Khulna and 5,000 others in Sylhet.

A total of 50,000 children received foods in Chattogram, Sylhet, Narail, Khulna, Mongla, Gopalganj, and Bancharampur.

Distribution of food among destitute is a continuous process as the Bashundhara Group Managing Director feeds thousands of orphans and helpless children every Friday.

Bashundhara MD stands by indomitable geniuses

Minhajul Abedin and Tauhidur Rahman are two brothers who reside in a hut in Sherpur. Struggling to make ends meet in their needy family, they support their household by rickshaw pulling. Despite their hard life, they managed to achieve a GPA 5 in their SSC exams. However, their strong determination faced indigence challenges. Fortunately, Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the managing director of Bashundhara Group, the country's top industrial group, extended support to them. Bashundhara group MD handed over a one-time scholarship to his two brothers.

Sayem Sobhan Anveer joined Minhajul and Tauhidur in supporting the education of 104 talented and less privileged students in the country. He provided one-time cash aid to these students in the Bashundhara residential area, as part of today's Kantha Shubasangha organization.

Imdadul Haq Milan (Director of East West Media and Editor-in-Chief of Kaler Kantho), Naem Nizam (Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin), Enamul Hoque Chowdhury (Editor of Daily Sun), Rahul Raha (Editor of Daily Sun), Jewel Mazhar (Head of News of News24), Bashundhara Group were present, along with Press and Media Adviser Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Haider Ali (Deputy Editor of Kaler Kantha and Adviser of Shuvosangho), Sadequl Islam (Central Committee President of Shuvosangho), and Zakaria Zaman (Director)

Sayem Sobhan Anveer, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, told the students, "Education belongs solely to you and cannot be taken away. Wisdom comes from education. With your wisdom and talent, the country will progress. You should strive to be dedicated to your country and its people. Only then will supporting you be worth it."
