Canada police probe video warning not to fly Air India

Canada: Canadian authorities are investigating a video issued by the secessionist group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which warns Sikhs not to fly Air India after November 19, citing potential danger to their lives.

The SFJ's general counsel, Gurpatwant Pannun, emphasized the call for a global boycott of the airline in a statement, while denying any violent intent.

Canada has heightened security for Air India flights, addressing concerns raised by India. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is actively investigating the threat, with the Canadian government expressing a commitment to taking aviation threats seriously.

Pannun's statement has been deemed of "serious criminal intent" by India's High Commissioner to Ottawa, Sanjay Kumar Verma.

Despite Pannun's denial of violence, concerns persist, and the situation is reminiscent of the 1985 Air India flight 182 bombing, the deadliest act of terrorism in Canadian history, perpetrated by Khalistani terrorists.

The day is remembered annually in Canada as the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism. Extremist groups continue to honor Talwinder Singh Parmar, considered the mastermind of the attack, posing ongoing challenges.
