Dhaka: DHL Express, one of the world’s leading international express service providers, and The Daily Star, Bangladesh's premier daily newspaper, jointly hosted the 23^rd Bangladesh Business Awards at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden on September 23.

The annual event continued to honor excellence in business leadership across the country, and reaffirmed the importance of innovation and resilience to build a stronger economy.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin as the Special Guest.

Md Miarul Haque, Managing Director of DHL Express Bangladesh, and Mahfuz Anam, Editor of The Daily Star, were also present on the occasion, among others.

This year, the ceremony honored extraordinary achievements in the business community for the calendar year 2024 across four award categories, along with a special “Lifetime Achievement” recognition:

- Financial Institution of the Year 2024: City Bank

- Enterprise of the Year 2024: Walton Group

- Business Person of the Year 2024: Ahsan Khan Chowdhury

- Outstanding Woman in Business 2024: Sadia Haque

- Lifetime Achievement Award: Anis Ud Daula
