Dhaka: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah announced a list of 30 items that are prohibited from being carried by passengers in flight baggage.
The airport authorities warned that these banned goods will be confiscated upon detection and passengers will have no rights to claim them.
The alert is particularly targeted at departing Hajj pilgrims, urging them not to include these dangerous and prohibited items in their baggage.
The list comprises materials classified as potential safety hazards, including knives, compressed gases, toxic liquids, blades, baseball bats, automatic skateboards, explosives and crackers.
16 items have been specifically banned from being transported in flight cabins.
Apart from the aforementioned, the cabin-baggage-prohibited items also are firearms, magnetic materials, radioactive or corrosive materials, any dangerous equipment, nail clippers, shears, meat cleavers and ammunition.
In addition, the airport detailed a list of 14 dangerous materials that are also banned from all baggage, such as: oxidants, organic peroxides, radioactive materials, electric shock devices, disabling devices, automatic skateboards, liquid oxygen devices, infectious biological materials, matches, lighters and flammable liquids.
The total 30 prohibited items also include compressed gases, explosives or crackers, imitation weapons, magnetic materials, and corrosive materials.
