Dhaka: NOVOAIR will resume scheduled flights to Kolkata from March 27 with daily flights on Dhaka-Kolkata route.

Every day, flights to Kolkata will depart Dhaka Airport at 5:20 pm while the return flight to Dhaka will leave Kolkata Airport at 6:40 pm (local time) on the same day.

NOVOAIR will also announce holiday packages to Kolkata soon.

It may be mentioned here that the Director General of Civil Aviation of India has given permission to operate schedule commercial flights to and from India effective March 27.

Earlier, commercial flights to/from Kolkata were suspended from March 25, 2020 as per the Director General of Civil Aviation of India's directive in an effort to contain the coronavirus spread.

Meanwhile, special flights were operated between Bangladesh and India under an air bubble agreement, instead of scheduled flights.

Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily eight flights from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, five to Chattogram, Saidpur and Jashore, three to Sylhet, one to Barishal and Rajshahi.
