Qatar Airways begins flying to Trabzon of Turkey

Dhaka: Qatar Airways started its seasonal service between Doha and the Turkish city of Trabzon on June 16. The airline will operate this service for the peak summer season until August 22. This marks the carrier's seventh Turkish destination and further strengthens its route network of over 160 destinations worldwide.

This service will be operated by the carrier's Airbus A320-200 aircraft. QR-319 has a scheduled flight time of 3 hours and 25 minutes, with a departure time of 08:25 from DOH and an arrival time of 11:50 at TZX. The return service QR-320 has a flight time of 3 hours and 15 minutes, with a departure time of 13:20 from TZX, and arrives back in DOH at 16:35.

The carrier's A320 aircraft is capable of accommodating between 132 and 144 passengers depending on the configuration. In both configurations, the aircraft features 12 business class seats in a two-two layout and 120 to 132 seats in economy class in a typical three-three layout. Nevertheless, passengers will still receive the airline's award-winning services.

On the occasion, Akbar Al Baker, Group CEO, Qatar Airways, stated, “Trabzon is an exciting and important new route for Qatar Airways, which solidifies our strong commitment to Türkiye and delivers on the high demand for connectivity between Doha and Trabzon.”

"We look forward to bringing travellers to Trabzon from the Gulf region and beyond, through an unrivalled travel experience through our home, the outstanding Hamad International Airport," he added.

Located in the North-East of the country, Trabzon is known for its rich history and culture. It is also home to various natural and historical wonders, such as the Black Sea coastline and the Sumela Monastery.
