Dhaka: The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) announced a new set of rules and restrictions for Bangladeshi travellers planning to visit the country. Under the revised policy, Bangladeshi passengers will no longer need to present COVID-19 test report from Bangladesh, but they are required to go under a mandatory 14-days quarantine upon arrival.

However, a health declaration of having no cough, no fever, no COVID-19 symptom, like runny nose, short breath, etc is required.

The COVID-19 test of these people will be conducted in Singapore, and the passengers will have to bear the hotel cost of SGD 2200 for isolation.

It was also mentioned that the passengers cannot be received by anyone at Changi Airport.

According to the new visa rules, no short term or tourist visa will be issued except for the visa on medical grounds certified by respective health ministries.

Students and work or long term visit pass holders would need to obtain permission from relevant ministries before purchasing ticket.

Citizens or PR holders are free to enter the country as usual but transit passengers would need to maintain the rules of not leaving Changi Airport and must have onward confirmed tickets.
