Dhaka: Since Thailand Visa Application Centres have reopened and started accepting tourist visa applications from January 10, Royal Thai Embassy has issued requirements for applying for a single-entry tourist visa in the post-Covid era.
The new requirements include a completed Health Declaration Form and health insurance guaranteeing that the insurance company will cover a minimum of USD 100,000. The insurance must cover the entire duration of stay in Thailand.
Confirmation of the booking of Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) in Bangkok, or ALQ in Chonburi province, or Prachinburi province only is also mandatory.
Besides these, previous requirements for applying for a tourist visa are still in effect. Those are as follows: original passport (seven-month validity); recent photo two Copy (3.5 X 4.5 cm with background white, not same as the previous visa); bank statement of last six months above balance BDT 60,000 per person, if family then balance BDT 1,20000; bank solvency certificate; NOC (letter Head pad)/GO (if any)/student ID (if student); Trade License English translation with Notary if businessmen; visiting card; and personal letter/blank pad.
The visa fee is now BDT 4500 for each while the processing time for visa application is 5/7 working days.
