Dhaka: Turkish Airlines carried 7.6 million passengers in January, posting an 84% load factor, the company said on Monday, February 9, in a statement filed on Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform.
The total passenger figure marked a 12.4% year-on-year increase compared to January 2025. The load factor improved by 1.6 percentage points from the same month last year.
International-to-international passenger traffic rose 10.8% to 3.1 million in January. The airline reported an international load factor of 83.7%, while domestic routes recorded a higher load factor of 87.5%.
Available seat kilometers (ASK) increased 6.4% year-on-year to 23.7 billion, up from 21.5 billion in January 2025, reflecting continued capacity growth across its network.
Cargo and mail volumes also showed strong performance, climbing 18.8% to 178,303 tons during the month.
At the end of January, Turkish Airlines’ fleet comprised 522 aircraft, supporting its expanding passenger and cargo operations across domestic and international markets.
