Dhaka : Biman Bangladesh Airlines has earned a record BDT 1,563cr revenue and carried around 8.8 lac passengers in the last three months.
Zahid Hossain, Managing Director and CEO of Biman made the announcement on October 13 at a press conference at the airline's headquarters in the capital.
"If the trend continues, at least 32 lac passengers can be transported next year," added the Biman Chief.
Ground handling services have also improved as expected and all luggage of passengers have been delivered within a maximum of 45 minutes, he added.
He also said the biggest challenge of Biman is ensuring quality passenger services.
Zahid Hossain claimed, even though, there are various discussions and criticisms about Biman, the reality is Biman is a four-billion-dollar company.
"Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the only organisation recognised by IATA. A recent audit conducted by European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) did not give any (negative) observations over Biman," said Zahid.
