Dhaka : Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to launch direct flights on Dhaka-Narita route on September 1, 2023.

On July 25, the national airline began the sale of tickets for direct flights on the route.

Furthermore, if passengers purchase tickets from the carrier's website and apps using the promo code NEWYEAR23, they will be able to avail 5 per cent discount.

Passengers can also buy tickets from any sales centre of Biman, Biman call center 01990997997 and Biman approved travel agencies.

The special discounted price will remain open till August 15 and, during this period, the minimum fare on Dhaka-Narita route will start from BDT 49,100 per person and the return ticket fare from BDT 84,496.

On the other hand, the minimum fare on Narita-Dhaka route will start from BDT 25,787 or JPY 33,800 per person and the minimum fare of return ticket will start from BDT 56,014 or JPY 73,340, said the airline in a release.

"Special discounted tickets during the offer period are non-refundable. However, at the end of the offer, the minimum fare of this route from Dhaka will start from BDT 70,828 and the price of return ticket from BDT 1,11,656 per person," added the airline. "Apart from Dhaka, passengers from Kathmandu, Delhi and Kolkata can also avail the offer," further mentioned the release.

The flag carrier's flight from Dhaka will depart at 11:45 pm every Friday, Monday and Wednesday and will reach Narita at 9:15 am every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The return flight will depart Narita at 11:00 am every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday and will arrive in Dhaka at 03:00 pm on the same days. All times are local.

Biman will be operating direct flights on the route with Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
