Dhaka : Cathay Pacific, the home airline of Hong Kong, took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital resuming its flight services between Dhaka and Hong Kong on December 3, 2022.
The resumed flight was positively received by customers and the trade alike. The airline also received a positive response for cargo on the flight, said Cathay Pacific in a release.
The carrier further announced an enhanced schedule starting January 2023, providing travellers with direct connectivity to Hong Kong and onwards to destinations across the Cathay Pacific's network, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada and the USA.
In December 2022, Cathay's flight CX667 departs Hong Kong at 19:35 and arrives in Dhaka at 22:00 local time on Saturday while the return flight CX662 takes off from Dhaka Airport at 23:10 and lands in Hong Kong at 04:45 local time on the same day.
In January 2023, Cathay's flight will take off from HK at 20:05 and reaches Dhaka at 22:30 while the return flight will leave Dhaka at 23:40 and lands in HK at 05:15 on Thursday and Saturday.
From February 2023 onwards, the airline's flight will depart HK at 21:30 and reach Dhaka at 23:55 on Thursday and Saturday while the return flight will leave Dhaka at 01:05 and land in HK at 06:40 on Friday and Sunday.

Not only, was it humbling to welcome back our guests as we took to the skies again, but also, extremely encouraging as we look to scale up our global network operations. More destinations and increased flight frequencies mean more choices and better connectivity for our customers."
In addition to passengers, the first flight welcomed a strong belly-hold as Cathay Pacific provided additional cargo capacity on the route, besides the three weekly freighters, which continues to witness healthy demands for varied shipments.
