Free WiFi, telephone service launched at Sylhet Airport

Sylhet : Free WiFi and telephone services provided by BTCL have been launched at Sylhet's Osmani International Airport. For now, the service is available only for outbound passengers. Within the next few days, free WiFi will be fully operational across the entire airport area for everyone.

The service was inaugurated on September 6 by Fayez Ahmed Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

He said the service has been introduced at the airport to facilitate communication for inbound and outbound passengers. "Within the next few days, the entire airport will be brought under free WiFi coverage," he added.

Present at the inauguration were Abdun Naser Khan, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommuni-cations Division, Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarwar Alam, among others.
