Dhaka : Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, announced it will resume scheduled flights to Bangladesh, restoring a route suspended last year.

To support the relaunch, the carrier invited applications for a General Passenger Sales Agent in Bangladesh.

Earlier, Maldivian had operated weekly flights to Dhaka until August of last year, when it halted operations, citing turbulence in Bangladesh's political landscape.

The decision to return to Dhaka comes as Maldivian maintains a tightly focused international network. At present, the carrier flies to five destinations across India and China, its two principal overseas markets.

Alongside its scheduled routes, Maldivian also deploys seasonal services, adding flights to select destinations during holiday periods and peak travel seasons.
