NOVOAIR launching Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar flights

Dhaka : Country's private carrier NOVOAIR on October 26 said it will operate flights on Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar route from mid-November. 
The decision was taken in a meeting at Nagar Bhaban on October 26 where senior officials of NOVOAIR and representatives, officials of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton were present. 
At the end of the meeting, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said, "Rajshahi residents had been waiting for a long time for direct flights on the Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar route. I requested Novoair authorities to start direct flights on Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar route. They have decided to operate one flight per week on my request. In this regard, I will provide full cooperation to NOVOAIR." 
NOVOAIR Head of Department (Marketing and Sales) Mes-Bah-ul Islam said that with the initiative, courage and support of AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, a decision has been taken to operate one flight of NOVOAIR on the Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar route every week. 
The probable date of commencement of flights has been fixed on November 16 or 17. 
NOVOAIR flights from Rajshahi to Cox's Bazar will depart every week on Wednesday or Thursday at 10:30 am. Again on Saturday or Sunday at 3:30 pm, the flight will leave from Cox's Bazar to Rajshahi. 
It will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to go from Rajshahi to Cox's Bazar. The flight launch date and schedule will be finalized soon. 
The minimum one-way fare on the Rajshahi-Cox's Bazar route will be BDT 5,900. 
Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Masudur Rahman Rinku, Senior Vice President Abdul Awal Khan Chowdhury, Director Shahadat Hossain Babu, Director Sadrul Islam, Director Riaz Ahmed Khan, Director Md Abdul Ghaffar, Director Md Masum Sarkar, Director Md Asaduzzaman Ravi, Director Md. Sajjad Ali, Director Md. Motiul Haque, Director SM Ayub, NovoAir Rajshahi Sales Incharge Manik Krishna Chakraborty, Rajshahi Airport Operations Incharge Asaduzzaman Shaon, Barisal Airport Operations Incharge Sajedul Sabbir and others were present in the meeting.
