Dhaka : Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines added a brand-new ATR 72-600, the seventh of the airline, to its fleet on March 20. With this, the total number of aircraft in the airline's fleet rose to 14 and it still remains the largest private carrier of the country.
The new aircraft, from the ATR Company, departed from Francazal Airport in France and, via Greece, UAE and India, it landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on March 20.
US-Bangla said, with the new aircraft, they are going to increase operations in the domestic route.
The airline currently has a total of 14 aircraft, including four Boeing 737-800s, three Dash8-Q400s and seven brand new ATR 72-600s. US-Bangla also plans to add two more ATR 72-600s to fleet by June this year, said the airline in a statement.
Currently the carrier is operating flights to all domestic destinations and Kolkata, Chennai, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.
