DHL, The Daily Star host 22nd Bangladesh Business Awards

Dhaka : DHL Express, world's one of the leading international express service providers, and The Daily Star, Bangladesh's premier daily newspaper, hosted the 22nd Bangladesh Business Awards at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel.   
The event continues to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in business leadership across the country. The Bangladesh Business Awards, established in 2000, is a cornerstone event in the Bangladeshi business community, drawing attendance from the nation's most influential figures, business leaders, and dignitaries.

Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, Adviser, Ministry of Finance and Commerce, attended the event as the chief guest.

Addressing the audience, Md Miarul Haque, Managing Director of DHL Express Bangladesh, said, "Bangladesh has charted a laudable growth trajectory, propelling us to graduate from the ranks of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). The ceremony honoured extraordinary contributions to the business community for the calendar year 2023 across four categories: Financial Institution of the Year 2023-Pubali Bank PLC, Enterprise of the Year 2023-BSRM, Business Person of the Year 2023-Sk Bashir Uddin, Akij Bashir Group and Outstanding Woman in Business 2023-Kyaw Sein Thay Dolly, Managing Director, Cloths R Us Ltd.

Additionally, a special Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Kihak Sung, Chairman of Youngone Corporation, for his contributions to the business sector. A special keynote address was delivered by Sung, highlighting his journey and insights into the evolving business landscape.
