Dhaka : Bengal Blueberry was established seven and a half years ago at the heart of Gulshan. Over the years, due to the strategic location of the hotel, they enjoyed excellent business.
The hotel started with an inventory of 57 rooms as a boutique hotel. Over the years, the hotel had to go through much crisis, due to political unrest and the Holi Artisan incident, still it managed to survive, thanks to its great location.
The General Manager of the hotel Shakil Jawad expressed, the hotel even welcomed guests amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He mentioned, the hotel, within a period of two years, increased the number of rooms from 57 to 110. For this purpose, the hotel renovated an adjacent building and the rooms have been equipped with the best of modern amenities.
Apart from the rooms, the hotel also extended its Meeting Venue and renovated it with all modern furnishing.
Now the hotel has a restaurant, coffee bar, rooftop open BBQ, spa, sauna and a well-equipped modern gym.
Bengal Group of Hotels commenced its journey 14 years ago with its first property Bengal Inn at Banani in the capital. It was a boutique hotel with a small inventory of 34 rooms. But that was only the beginning. Currently, the group has three hotels - Bengal Inn, Bengal Blueberry and Bengal Canary Park.
The Bangladesh Monitor sat with the visionary Managing Director of the group Md Anamul Haque who shared his plan to take this brand to a national level and then make it international.
He explained that they want to make this brand familiar to the middle income group of the country as a boutique (3-4 star) hotel with a manageable inventory including all the primary facilities of an international brand.
Asked about their next project, Haque said that they are working to establish a resort in Bhabanipur, Gazipur, consisting of villas and a tower by the lake. The idea is to offer the guests a stay where they will be able to enjoy the serene beauty of nature amid all modern facilities.
However, Haque mentioned that they have scrapped their earlier plans to build a hotel in Cox's Bazar.
