BIHA Champions League to begin on May 8

Dhaka : Bangladesh International Hotel Association (BIHA), the organization that represents the country's hospitality industry, will kickstart BIHA Champions League (BCL) 2025 on May 8.

The organization unveiled the trophy of the cricket tournament presented by Orix at an elite hotel in the capital on April 27, according to a press release.

The 14-day tournament will begin on May 8 and the final match will be held on May 26 at Gulshan Youth Club Field in the capital.

A total of 20 hotels have registered for BCL 2025. The participating hotels include Amari Dhaka, Ascott Palace Dhaka, Best Western Plus Maple Leaf, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, HANSA- A Premium Residence, Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre, Hotel Omni Residency Dhaka, Hotel Sarina Dhaka, InterContinental Dhaka, Lakeshore Banani, Le Meridien Dhaka, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Platinum Hotels by SHELTECH, Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, Sayeman Beach Resort Ltd, Sheraton Dhaka, Six Seasons Hotel, The Peninsula Chittagong PLC, The Raintree Dhaka, and The Westin Dhaka.

About the tournament, Bangladesh Cricket Board President Faruque Ahmed said, "What a fantastic sight it is to see hospitality professionals come together, not just to showcase their cricketing skills, but to celebrate the incredible spirit and unity of their community."

Advisor of BIHA Champions League 2025 and President of BIHA H M Hakim Ali expre-ssed his excitement saying, "The BIHA Champions League 2025 is a testament to the unity and spirit of the hospitality industry."

Chairman of the Board of BIHA Champions League 2025 Shakawath Hossain said, "We all work in the hospitality industry with a sportsman's mindset, upholding strong team spirit and building great bonds with our stakeholders. Hence, playing any kind of sports will broaden our mentality and physical fitness. It also teaches us team play and ownership."
