Chattogram : "Bonjour" is a French word meaning "hello". When you meet a French, he/she will address you with "bonjour" while the pronunciation is "bo-jo". Chattogram is adorning itself with a Metropolitan look and today the port city has several food joints. And among the popular ones is Bonjour Buffet Restaurant.
Bonjour Buffet restaurant always say "hello" to its guests and the food lovers reply "Cava Biea" meaning "I am fine". They certainly feel fine with the widespread dishes the restaurant serves from soups, fast foods, salads, and main courses, including Indian, Chinese, Arabic, and kebabs. Even the buffet spread is mouth-watering while the price of every item is easy on the pocket.

When I arrived in the evening on a Thursday around 7:30 pm, the two-storied restaurant with a capacity of 200 was full and several in the queue were waiting to get a seat, mostly families.
Bonjour was a dream of Md Akkas Uddin, the Director of the restaurant. He started his profession as a hotelier at a five-star in the capital in the catering department. From the beginning of his carrier, it was in his mind to establish a restaurant in Chattogram. As a man of Chattogram, he had in his mind to bring the glamour of the capital to the port city.
The location of Bonjour is in the heart of the port city, close to the GEC circle. The journey of this restaurant is a fascinating tale to tell. It started its operations in 2019 just before the pandemic, so it had to go through some serious crisis initially. However, as the pandemic slowed down, foodies wasted no time to replied to Bonjour's hello.
At the entrance of the restaurant, you will find a smart lady waiting to welcome you with a sanitiser and thermometer to ensure you are safe.

Akkas lamented that the price of each time at the restaurant is a big factor so he tried to keep the price under a reasonable margin. And he claimed this is what clicked among the guests.
He further mentioned, the restaurant is very serious in maintaining hygiene and quality of the food.
