Dhaka : Vintage Bake and Café, as the name suggests, comes with a vintage style setup and décor with perfect coffees and mouth-watering snacks and desserts.
Located at Happy Rahman Plaza, Kazi Nazrul Islam Ave, Bangla Motor junction in the capital, the building once used to have vintage car collections. Thus the café decided to stay true to the old place's vintage vibe with beautiful décor and ambience.
The café serves varieties of bakery items, savory items, fast food and coffees with a seating capacity of 30. It is small and quiet, making it a perfect place to have a sip of coffee.
Among the several items it serves, varieties of tummy-pleasing cakes of different sizes and coffees grab the spotlight. They are of top-notch quality and without any preservative.
Among their snacks, delectable mutton singara, chicken samosa, and butter buns are hot sellers.
Tonmoy Karmoker, Head of Administration, Vintage Bake and Café explained the vision of the café saying they want to develop a coffee chain.
Better yet, the pricing of the coffees and food is on a mid-scale but the quality is of the highest level.
For six months, the café is serving locals with great response, mentioned the admin head. Repeat customers are key to their customer segment, he added. They welcome and serve 50 customers a day with satisfaction.
In no time, they expect to cater to 100-150 customers a day, mentioned the admin head.
Also city cafes are popular for breakfast. And Vintage Café does not fall back in serving a delicious English breakfast to the customers.
There are also dining and takeaway facilities for guests to enjoy, claimed Karmoker. Takeaway facilities have become a hit amid the pandemic.
Since they started amid the pandemic, like others, the café also faced a plunge in customer numbers. Therefore, to recover from the losses, the admin head said some government support would be nice. "If they could exempt us from VAT for a while, that would help us stand on our feet," he concluded.
