InterContinental Dhaka GM Ashwani Nayar recognised as Asia's Best GM

Dhaka : Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager of IHG-South West Asia, and General Manager of InterContinental Dhaka, has been recognised as Asia's Best General Manager by CMO Asia and World Federation of Hospitality Professionals.

The accolade was bestowed upon him due to his contribution in the hospitality and tourism industry in Bangladesh and worldwide, according to a release.

Ashwani is a senior international hotelier with over three decades of global hospitality experience in South Asia and South East Asia. His core knowledge of Sales and Marketing at hotels for approximately 18 years has helped him develop a strong focus on customer satisfaction, generating market-leading returns.

Serving as Area General Manager for IHG Hotels and Resorts SWA, he came to InterContinental Dhaka, with varied and vast experience in managing hotel operations, human capital finance and development projects to ensure 360-degree returns for all stakeholders.

Ashwani has received multiple accolades on international platforms recently.

He was dubbed South Asia's Best General Manager and General Manager of the Year at the IHGI Impact Award, IMEA region. He was also featured in Forbes Magazine India on the Top 100 People Leaders list.

During Ashwani's tenue, InterContinental Dhaka won accolades at World Travel Awards, World Luxury Hotel Awards, British Curry Life Award, SATA Awards and Bangladesh Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Awards recently.
