Dhaka : Md Sharfuddin Newaz, Director of Sales and Marketing, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden was awarded as the "Icon of Hotel Industry" of Bangladesh at the 6th National Education Career and Cultural Carnival Bangladesh organised by Federation of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management (FoHTEM) and supported by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC).
Jabed Ahmed, CEO, Bangladesh Tourism Board attended as the Chief Guest and handed over the award to Newaz at the ceremony held at the Parjatan Bhaban auditorium on March 29.
The award was given for his significant contribution and long-time unique performance in the hospitality and tourism sector.
As a veteran in the hospitality and tourism industry, Newaz has made a name for himself for his vast experience, leadership skills and vision. He is also currently leading Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden as General Manager In-charge and is guiding Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View successfully to have positive business results while maintaining the standard of the hotels.
With a charismatic personality and praiseworthy track record, Sharfuddin Newaz has proven to be a priceless asset to Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden as well as to the hospitality and tourism industry.
