Dhaka : The 16th Sonargaon Hotel Sromik-O-Karmachari Union (SHSOKU) election was held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on December 6. The newly elected President is Azam Khan while for the position of General Secretary Saiful Islam has been voted as the winner.
The Azam-Shaiful coalition has won the election by a significant margin as compared to the opposition.
Among other elected members in respective positions of the nine-member Executive Committee are Vice-Presidents Shafiqul Islam and Md Faruk Hossain; Joint-Secretary Dulal Chandra Mazumder; Finance Secretary Wayes Mohammad Jubayer; Organising and Office Secretary Subas Costa; Sports and Cultural Secretary Md Yaqub Hossain; and Woman Secretary Farzana Parvin Moni.
