Dhaka: Afroza Khanam Rita has become the Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism on February 17, as the newly elected Members of Parliaments (MPs) were called to take oath in the new cabinet led by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman—who has become the Prime Minister.
Tarique Rahman was sworn in as the Prime Minister, administered by President Mohammed Shahabuddin, at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban around 4:15 PM.
Later, 25 ministers and 24 state ministers also took oath, administered by the President.
Portfolios of the ministers and state ministers were distributed in the afternoon.
