Aviation minister calls for improved passenger services during airport visit

Dhaka: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita has instructed authorities to enhance passenger services and prevent harassment at the airport during an inspection visit to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Sunday, March 15.

The minister visited the VVIP and domestic terminals of the airport around 4:00 pm and closely reviewed overall operations and passenger service facilities, read a press release.

During the inspection, she urged officials and staff to perform their duties with greater sincerity, dedication, and responsibility to ensure improved service standards and a hassle-free travel experience for passengers.

The visit comes as authorities prepare to strengthen operations at the airport, including the newly developed third terminal, aimed at modernizing aviation services and handling growing passenger traffic.

Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, along with other senior officials, was present during the visit.

According to the ministry, the inspection focused on monitoring airport operations and ensuring that passengers receive efficient and quality services.
