Biman, ACI provide "Hajj Care Pack" for pilgrims

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, in partnership with Advanced Chemical Industries (ACI) Limited, has introduced a special "Hajj Care Pack" for passengers traveling to perform Hajj this year as part of their bilateral cooperation.

The care packs were formally handed over at a colorful ceremony held at Biman’s headquarters, "Balaka," in Dhaka on April 14.

Managing Director and CEO of Biman, Kaizer Sohel Ahmed, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed was present as the special guest, said a press release.

On behalf of ACI, the care packs were handed over by Mohammad Rezaul Islam and Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Md. Kamrul Hasan.

In his speech, the Biman CEO said ensuring the highest level of service for Hajj pilgrims is one of the airline’s top priorities. “This thoughtful initiative by ACI will be particularly helpful for pilgrims during their journey. It is just a beginning, and we aim to further enhance both the quality and scope of our services in the future,” he added.

Speaking as the special guest, the DMD appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that the collaborative relationship between the two organizations would continue in the coming years.

ACI Consumer Brands Division President Mohammad Rezaul Islam said, “We feel proud and fortunate to be a partner in this noble service initiative of Biman. We hope to extend this service to all Hajj pilgrims in the future.”

Senior officials from Biman, including Ashraful Alam, Director of Marketing and Sales; Mohammad Mizanur Rashid, Director of Administration and Human Resources (additional charge); Captain Rezwan Islam, Chief of Planning and Scheduling; and Captain Abu Naser Ahmed Imran, Chief of Flight Safety, were present at the ceremony.

Officials from ACI, including Marketing Manager Md. Asadul Islam Shuvo, Senior Brand Manager A.K.M. Mahmudur Rahman, and Assistant Manager (Media) Mahdi Hasan Khan Chishti, also attended the event.

The initiative is expected to enhance passenger comfort and reflect a growing focus on improved services for Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims.
