Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued an advisory for passengers travelling to London, urging them to ensure that all visa and passport information is valid and properly updated before departure.
According to the national flag carrier, all London-bound passengers must update their latest passport details in their UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account at least 48 hours prior to travel. The directive follows guidance from the UK Border Force aimed at ensuring smooth entry procedures at UK ports of entry, read a press release on Monday, February 9.
Biman warned that failure to keep passport or visa information updated may result in additional screening, delays, or other travel complications upon arrival in the United Kingdom. Passengers are therefore advised to complete all required formalities well in advance of their journey to avoid inconvenience.
The airline requested travelers to carefully verify their travel documents before starting their journey and comply fully with UK immigration requirements.
The advisory was issued on Sunday as part of Biman’s efforts to facilitate hassle-free travel for its passengers and to ensure compliance with international immigration regulations.
