Dhaka: The first batch of students from Bangladesh, selected as awardees of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative, has arrived in Pakistan to pursue higher studies at leading universities.
The scholarship program, launched under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, aims to strengthen academic cooperation and enhance people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, the students were received at the airport by representatives of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and officials from the respective universities.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to promote educational collaboration and public diplomacy between Dhaka and Islamabad. Authorities said the selection process for the next batch of scholarship recipients will begin soon.
The Government of Pakistan extended its best wishes to the students for success in their academic pursuits and a rewarding stay in the country.
