Country's tourism gets first registered cooperative society

Dhaka: Parjatan Shilpo Cooperative Society Ltd received registration from the Department of Cooperatives on February 3 becoming the first-ever official tourism cooperative society of the country. tourism in Bangladesh

The cooperative society began its journey in March last year with 60 tourism stakeholders. Socioeconomic development of all members and better cooperation among them – are the two aims of the society. They will add more members and strengthen their project-based business activities in the coming days.

Currently, the executive committee comprises a total of nine elite tourism stakeholders while Mehedi Amin Chowdhury, is the President of the society, Abdullah Al Kafi, Vice President, Md Mohsin Iqbal, Organisational Secretary, and Zamir Hossain, Treasurer.             tourism in Bangladesh

“We have already taken in hand various short-term and long term projects. And with that, we commit to work towards tourism development and make Bangladesh a better tourism hub,” said Mehedi Amin Chowdhury, President of Parjatan Shilpo Cooperative Society in a statement.
