EBL to support children with special needs at Proyash Institute

Dhaka: Eastern Bank has partnered with Proyash Institute of Special Education to help strengthen the institute’s infrastructure and services for children with special needs.

As part of the initiative, Ziaul Karim, Head of Communications and External Affairs and Head of CSR Desk of EBL, handed over a cheque to Colonel Md. Altaf Ali, psc, Executive Director and Principal of Proyash Institute of Special Education, at a ceremony held at the bank’s head office in Dhaka, today.

Proyash, a non-profit institution run by the Bangladesh Army under the guidance of the Chief of Army Staff, works for the holistic development of children with special needs through programs such as Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education (IEQE), Skill-Based Training (SBT), Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and therapeutic services.

Among others present were Afroza Sultana, Vice Principal; Kawsari Warda, HR Incharge; Sultan Ahmed, Head Teacher from Proyash, and Md. Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Company Secretary; Maj. Md. Abdus Salam, psc (Retd), Head of Administration; and Md. Maskur Reza, FCA, Head of Business Information Systems from EBL.
