London: The Government of the United Kingdom has announced a new quarantine system and some other policy, which will come into force from Monday, February 15.
Backing this new system with strong enforcement of both home quarantine & hotel quarantine, hotel quarantine for Red List countries, and Home quarantine for other arrivals. Bangladesh is on All other countries' arrivals lists.
Health Secretary Hancock during his speech in the House of Commons told that the People who flout this rule is putting it in danger. Passenger carriers will have a duty in law to ensure the passenger has signed up(admit/enter) for these new arrangements before they travel and will be fined if they don't.
01.Pre-departure test as already in place(PCR negative test within 72 hours of flight already imposed.
02.people entering England must take Covid-19 tests. Two Mandatory PCR tests on day 2 and day 8 after arrival in the UK. during 10-day mandatory quarantine at Home.
03.Passenger Locator form( PLF) already imposed for all travelers from BD to the UK. But as per new policy.
04.Jail sentences up to 10 years for lying on passenger locator arrival form.
05.Carriers are liable to check passengers meet requirements.
06.£1,000 passenger fine for not taking a test.
07. £2,000 passenger fine for not taking a second test.
08.Fines for arrivals who refuse tests or fail to quarantine as required.
