Dhaka : A text for a draft bilateral air service agreement for direct connectivity between Bangladesh and Switzerland has been finalised, said the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh in a release on July 6.
The drafting of the agreement took place during a bilateral two-day meeting on July 4-5 between the delegations of Civil Aviation Authorities of Bangladesh and Switzerland.
Once the agreement is finalised, airlines of the two countries will be able to operate direct flights between Dhaka and Bern, the capital of Switzerland.
M Mafidur Rahman, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and Laurent Noel, lead negotiator, Air Services Agreements, Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation, led their respective sides at the meeting held at CAAB headquarters.
During the meeting, both sides showed keen interest to sign the final agreement soon.
