Dhaka : Radisson Blu Dhaka has marked a new milestone by launching the first-of-its-kind women's retreat in the country on January 2. The hotel is now offering three indulging packages focusing on women's fitness, wellness and relaxation under both half-day and full-day retreats.
To celebrate the launch, Radisson Blu Dhaka organised a fashion show by Vasavi, a standup comedy, a heart floating ceremony and an open air cinema at its poolside garden while maintaining all health guidelines amid the pandemic in association with HerNet TV.
Civil Aviation and Tourism State Minister Mahbub Ali was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, Deputy Minister of Education and Guner Ureya, Ambassador of Kosovo attended as special guests.
Several celebrity guests also attended the event including actor Shakib Khan as well as beauty pageant winners such as Shirin Sheila, Jessia Islam, and Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, among others.
The move of introducing these new packages follows Radisson Blu Dhaka's efforts to recognise the importance of the gender-balanced guest mix it welcomes. Under the packages, women can choose from a selection of ten sports activities, eight spa therapies, and a variety of dining and high-tea options.
The hotel is also the only one in Bangladesh to offer Nordic Walking. It is a total-body version of walking that can be enjoyed by non-athletes too, as a healthy physical activity. Women can enjoy that at the hotel's water garden pond which ideal for this popular cardiovascular workout.
To further ensure the guest experience under these packages, Radisson Blu offers facilities such as a fitness center, Finnish sauna, herbal steam room, tennis, basketball, and badminton courts.
Radisson women's retreat packages are currently being offered at 50 per cent discounted prices to local residents from January 1 to June 30. With it, the packages start from a reasonable price of BDT 3500 (exclusive of tax and service charge) which is for half-day titled morning retreats. There are two other packages available called afternoon retreats at BDT 7500 and full day retreats at BDT 9500, providing a good value for money.
