Dhaka: The airline safety and product rating website AirlineRatings has ranked Malaysia-based AirAsia world’s best budget airline for 2025.
The win is attributed to the airline’s huge flight network that connects Southeast Asia with almost all global destinations as well as the carrier’s affordable fares, as per the airline.
Reports cited AirlineRatings CEO Sharon Petersen saying that the airline also offers some of the most delectable hot meals among low-cost carriers.
AirlineRatings, for the award, thoroughly assessed airlines based on what they offered passengers throughout their fleet and network, with a focus on passenger comfort, feedback, and consistent service quality across an airline’s routes.
Among full-service carriers, South Korea’s national airline Korean Air bagged the top spot worldwide for its strong focus on passenger comfort. It stood out for its Economy Class, where its wide-body aircraft offer industry-leading seat pitches of 33–34 inches.
Among hybrid airlines, those that blend elements of full-service and low-cost models, the United States’ JetBlue ranked first globally.
