Biman issues urgent directives for Middle East-bound passengers amid flight suspensions

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued an urgent notice outlining key directives for passengers traveling to the Middle East, following the temporary suspension of flights on six major routes due to the ongoing regional situation.

According to a press release, flights to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; Doha in Qatar; Kuwait; and Dammam in Saudi Arabia have remained suspended since February 28. The suspension will continue until further notice.

However, the airline confirmed that flights to Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Muscat are operating as scheduled.

Refund and Rebooking Instructions

Passengers holding tickets for the suspended routes during the affected period have been advised that they may obtain a full refund without any additional charges or reschedule their travel date free of cost.

Passengers can avail themselves of these services at any Biman sales center at home and abroad or through the respective travel agency from which the ticket was purchased.

For updated flight information or assistance, passengers have been instructed to contact the Biman call center at 13636 (within Bangladesh) or +8809610913636 (international callers).

Safety Remains Top Priority

Biman Bangladesh Airlines emphasized that passenger safety and security remain its highest priority. The airline said it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and will provide timely updates regarding any changes to flight operations.

The national carrier also expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to passengers.
