Dhaka: All flights to and from several Middle Eastern destinations have been put on hold due to ongoing attacks in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, according to a press release issued by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The national flag carrier said the temporary suspension has been enforced to ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew members amid the evolving situation in the region.

Airline authorities noted that the decision will remain in effect until further notice, depending on security assessments and updates from the concerned aviation authorities.

Passengers holding tickets for affected routes, including Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, have been requested to stay in touch with Biman’s sales offices and call centers for updated information regarding rescheduling and refunds.

Further announcements will be made as the situation develops, the airline added.
