Business jet carrying Maharashtra deputy CM crashes in Baramati; 5 fatalities confirmed

Dhaka: A business jet carrying Ajit Pawar, the deputy chief minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra, crashed at Baramati in Maharashtra on Wednesday, January 28.

Media reports said the jet, a Learjet 45 registered VT-SSK, was flying from Mumbai to Baramati and crash-landed at its destination at around 8:45 local time.

Pawar was accompanied by two more personnel (1 PSO and 1 attendant) and two crew (PIC+FO) members, and all of them died after the crash.
