Dhaka: Fly Jinnah will be launching direct flights between Bangladesh and Pakistan, in an effort to boost travel and trade between the two countries, said Iqbal Hussain, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Pakistan, on January 31.
He also confirmed that an agreement has been finalized to establish air connectivity between the two nations.
Fly Jinnah is eyeing to commence direct flight operations to/from Bangladesh soon, as per reports. The airline aims to provide a faster and more convenient travel option for passengers of both nations, added reports.
The carrier’s new flight service is anticipated to enhance tourism, trade, and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan. The move is also expected to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Following the ousting of Bangladesh’s former government in August 5, relations with Pakistan have been showing signs of improvement.
Earlier in January, while addressing the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bangladeshi envoy to Pakistan also announced plans for cargo flights between Dhaka, Karachi, and Lahore. These flights are anticipated to facilitate trade by simplifying the transportation of goods between the two nations.
Furthermore, Hussain emphasized Bangladesh’s commitment to strengthening business relations with Pakistan. He prioritized the ease of obtaining Bangladeshi visas online for Pakistani citizens to boost travel and trade between the two countries.
